Cleanse your sole

Foot care is one of the most often forgotten aspects of taking care of yourself. Having unkempt feet can alter how you stand and move around, creating an imbalance in your life. All it takes is a simple ache or pain in your feet, and the next thing you know, you have neck pain as your body is trying to balance itself out like a seesaw to stay upright. These imbalances can cause muscle tightness and fatigue resulting in easily injured muscles.

Keeping your feet clean is the first step to taking care of them and you. Make sure that every day, you wash them thoroughly. That doesn’t mean let the soapy shower water rinse over them. It means you need to scrub them well. Over, under, and in between the toes. Next is to make sure your nails are evenly cut. It is advised to cut your nails straight across to prevent ingrown nails. Make sure underneath the nails are clean and free of dirty to avoid any infections or fungal growth.

Give your feet some air. Make sure they are not couped up in ill-fitting stuffy shoes all day. Your feet need to breathe and get fresh air. If possible, make sure your shoes have proper ventilation. Go for a foot massage or massage them yourself once a week. Your feet store a lot of toxins, and by massaging them, it helps promote immune health.
Last but not least, pamper those footsies with a nice pair of slippers. They deserve a treat, and so do you.
